MASSERIA LE STANZIE in Supersano is certainly one of the oldest FARMS IN SALENTO. Its ideal location, in the heart of Salento, halfway between OTRANTO AND GALLIPOLI but also between LECCE and SANTA MARIA DI LEUCA has made it, over the centuries, an ideal place for pilgrims and wanderers to stop and rest. The same name evokes its role as an ancient STAZIO. In the surroundings of MASSERIA LE STANZIE you can still see the traces of two ancient roads: "the pilgrims' way" that in medieval times brought pilgrims from San Michele sul Gargano to SANTA MARIA DI LEUCA and the "lampante oil route" that between 1400 and 1800 connected the two ports of OTRANTO and GALLIPOLI thus allowing the trade in lampante oil throughout Europe.

Today the MASSERIA LE STANZIE in Supersano is much more than a FARMHOUSE, it is a real place of worship of peasant civilization and ancient traditions. In this wonderful SALENTO FARM you can relive the warmth of the peasant world and understand its values and traditions. The farm has orchards, olive groves, vineyards, garden with production of seasonal vegetables, cattle and sheep farms. Almost everything you eat in this SALENTO FARMHOUSE is of its own production and the recipes are the ancient recipes of the Salento culinary tradition.

MASSERIA LE STANZIE is divided between large and small rooms decorated with tomatoes pennula, chili and aromatic herbs hanging from the ceiling, shorts, pergolas, farms yard (aie), barns, stone ovens and wonderful IPOGEI OIL MILLS
