Masseria Uccio – Tricase Porto – Valonia Oak – Marina Serra
“Masseria Uccio”– Marina Serra – Tricase Porto – Valonia Oak – Masseria Mito – Tricase (Historical Centre) – “Masseria Uccio”
Difficulty: High; several significant climbs, for length and inclination;
Suggestions: It is a path recommended to those practising mountain bike sports. The presence of some steep climbs makes this path very difficult. It is a path for those who want to admire the beauty of the Adriatic Sea, in particular the Marinas of Tricase (Tricase Porto and Marina Serra).
Path: Leaving “Masseria Uccio”, you reach the Sanctuary of Madonna di Fatima. From here continue to “Masseria of Tiggiano”, cross the small historical centre and continue to Torre Palane, after admiring the massive sea view on Otranto, Castro, Santa Cesarea and Tricase Porto continue along the seafront towards Otranto to reach Marina Serra of Tricase; here you can choose whether taking the descent and then the climb leading to the bay of Marina Serra or continuing to Tricase Porto. A descent takes to the pleasant marina where you can take a break for a drink at “Bolina’s” before taking the climb to Tricase, leading directly to the most ancient Valonia Oak in Europe. Go on to Andrano and after a few kilometres you will find the Masseria Mito (now under refurbishment). Along your way back follow the signs to Tricase historical centre, crossing Piazza Pisanelli, known as “The meeting point of Tricase”. To go back to the Farm it will be sufficient to follow the signs to the Sanctuary of Madonna di Fatima.
Duration: 1h and 30 min
